Grapevine News

By the way, if you have heard through the grapevine that I am pregnant again, I am happy to report the news is true! We are expecting another baby mid March. Aislyn is very excited to be a big sister. Although she is convinced there are two babies, a boy and a girl. The doctor assures us there is only one baby and we want to wait to find out if it is a boy or girl. Thank you all for your prayers for us, because this child it yet another miracle from our Almighty God! Praise Him!

Fall Festivities

Aislyn has enjoyed our fall outings this year. We went to the cider mill where she got to watch them make donuts and run away from the bees:o); We went to the Pumpkin Show where she got to ride a pony again and loved it; We went to the "Apple Forest" (her name for the orchard) where she picked and ate several apples, went on a hayride, picked a pumpkin, etc.; With her preschool class she went to the pumpkin patch and went down the big hay slides, the corn maze, and saw several different animals. Then her class had a "Noah's Ark" party and all the kids dressed up as animals. She was the cutest little ladybug! It has been busy the last two months but I think we have made the most of Autumn before it gets to cold. Aislyn has also started piano lessons and loves it! She truly enjoys learning and she improves every week. She sang at our church last week on the "big stage" and our little star shined the brightest amongst the other kids because she sang, clapped, signed, and knew all the movements to the song. The joy in our child radiates and is contagious. She is such a blessing.

1st Day of Preschool

Aislyn had her first day of preschool this week. She was so excited to go to school! They had story-time, playtime, art-time, snack-time, etc. After I picked her up we were in the van and I asked her "what did you learn in preschool today?" She replied, "Look Mommy, I can get it out!" She proceeded to stick a Yogo (fruit snack) up her nose, pull it out, and put it in her mouth! Yuck! Hopefully this will be the worst of things to come that she has learned from her peers. Aislyn told me later her favorite thing at school was her friends. Is this another sign of things to come??? Lord help us :o)

3rd Birthday!

Our Baby is 3! Aislyn had a wonderful time at her party with all her friends and family. She had a Dora party and loved all her gifts. Thank you everyone! She has been playing on her "jump-o-reen" everyday. One thing she doesn't like about being three is that we finally got rid of the binki's. She was not happy about that and she let us know about it in her own special way:o( But after about a week she started doing better. A few bumps in the road but I think we should all survive to see birthday #4.

Silly Aisey!

>Looks like she needs a trip to the dentist! Too many fruit snacks!

Aislyn is sporting this years new fashion for superheros:o)

Another Miracle!

Aislyn had an appointment at Childrens Hospital with a hand specialist on 7.18.07. We had her checked out about 6-8 months ago because there was something abnormal with her hands. She couldnt touch her thumb and pinky together, held her crayons awkwardly, curled her index finger and pointed with the middle finger, etc. She was initially diagnosed with the absence of Opponens Policis, poor opposition of thumbs, and they suspected she was missing a muscle that ran from her pectorals to her hands. So the doctor begins to examine her and comes to the same conclusion; she still cant perform certain motor skills with her hand so Aislyn therefore is still missing the muscles. The doctor begins to tell me about a test they wanted to perform and while she was talking, Aislyn looks at the doctor, puts her hands to the doctors face and touches her thumb and pinky, something she couldnt do 30 seconds prior! The doctors jaw dropped and exclaimed she had never in her life seen something like that happen and she repeatedly said she had no explanation whatsoever. I was able to then give an explanation and account of the healing power of Jesus! I praise the Lord for yet another miracle in the life of our Miracle Daughter!

Writing!

Well, Aislyn decided that fireworks are too loud. She really didn't get to see to many this year, but maybe next. She is very excited for her upcoming birthday and is wanting EVERYTHING for her birthday. We walk through the store and she say "I have that for my birthday. Please I have it now." She is having a Dora party and loves looking at all the Dora paraphernalia. Two nights ago she ask me "Mommy will you show me how to draw 'A'" I showed her once and she did it all by herself! She can write A, Z, O and I. She technically is still two years old! I am proud and sad all in the same breath:o)

Isn't she beautiful!

She is so precious and ornery in the same breath:o) She keeps us laughing with the things she comes up with. She has a wonderful sense of humor, loves to laugh, sing, and talk-talk-talk. Right now she is asking 500 ?'s a day (sometimes the same one, 10 times), but everything is "Mommy, why that for?" She continues to be very excited about ice cream, strawberry milk, cheese, and of coarse chocolate. Aislyn is also very proud of herself that she is using the big potty now. She likes to announce to everyone if she pooped or peed, and doesn't care if you are in a very crowded restaurant:o)More firsts... A new cousin Zachery born May 4th, and her first parade on Memorial Day at Grammy's house! And many more to come I am sure!

Our Princess

Our Easter Miracle!

As you all know, Aislyn has struggled with allergies since birth. Easter morning Jason and I woke up and decided to have Aislyn prayed for after church. She had a couple of bad days and still had her 'rash' that morning when we left for church. A group of us gathered around her and prayed that the Lord would heal her. At Easter dinner we took a step of faith and gave her an egg. Nothing happened. We gave her several samples of the many things she has never been able to eat. Nothing happened. The real test came 3-4 hours later, and still nothing happened. Her rash was gone, she was eating everything she had been allergic to, and NOTHING HAPPENED!!! :o) We got our Easter miracle! And by the way, she loves cheese! Praise the Lord!

Yup, She's Two!

Well, Aislyn continues to grow in leaps and bounds. She is getting so tall and she is smart as a whip. She can count in Spanish, knows her ABC's, and sings everything she says. She loves to sing with Mickey Mouse and Veggietales but you have not heard anything so precious until you hear her rendition of "Row Your Boat" or "Twinkle Little Star". Trust me, It is Great! Aislyn also is discovering how to talk back. Hummm, she is two and she is my daughter. I guess I can expect that:o)

Another 1st

Winter is finally here! We took Aisey out to play in the snow and she made her very first snowman. We put eyes and a nose on him but Aislyn insisted the snowman have ears:o) We had a great time making a snow angel too. Aislyn's favorite part was throwing snow at Mommy and Daddy! Everytime we go somewhere now it takes twice as long because she wants to touch, throw, and play in the snow. She seems to like the cold and snow as much as I do! She says, "More snow, more snow mommy! I like snow!" That's my girl:o) Must be the Michigan blood!

Big Girl Bed

We moved Aislyn to her "Big Girl Bed" last week and took the crib down. She was very excited but Mommy was a little sad. My baby is getting too big too fast:o(

1st Haircut

We finally decided to give Aislyn her 1st haircut. She was so excited to have "mommy cut my hair with scissors!"
